Community Posting Guidelines: Some common sense rules regarding posting to the community page
Welcome to the BMPTA Community Page! This is a space for members to connect, share information, and support one another. To keep this environment safe, respectful, and constructive for everyone, we ask that you follow these common-sense guidelines:
1. Be Respectful and Kind
We are a diverse community. Please treat every member with the same respect you would expect in person.
- No Harassment: Avoid personal attacks, insults, or demeaning comments.
- Constructive Tone: Disagreements are natural, but please keep them polite. Focus on the issue, not the person.
2. Protect Privacy (Yours and Others)
This is a shared space, but privacy is paramount.
- Confidentiality: Do not post private information about other residents or staff members (such as full names, health details, or room numbers) without their express permission.
- Personal Safety: Be cautious about sharing your own sensitive data publicly.
3. Keep it Relevant
To ensure the feed remains useful, please keep posts focused on community-related topics.
- Community Support: Sharing resources, local news, or asking for neighborhood advice is encouraged.
- No Spam: Avoid posting repetitive content, excessive promotions, or “chain” messages.
4. No Hate Speech or Illegal Content
We have a zero-tolerance policy for content that promotes discrimination or illegal acts.
- Inclusive Space: Do not post content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity.
- Stay Legal: Do not post or link to anything that violates local laws.
5. Think Before You Post
Once something is online, it can be permanent.
- If you are feeling angry or frustrated, take a moment to cool down before hitting “post.”
- Ask yourself: “Does this post contribute positively to our community?”
6. Reporting Issues
If you see a post that violates these rules, please use your members panel or the chat server to report it. Do not engage in a public argument; let the moderators handle it.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the removal of your post or a temporary suspension of posting privileges. Let’s work together to keep Bridget Moran Place a great place to live and connect!
