Charities Directorate – Report suspected non-compliance by registered charities
If you have information that a charity may be non-compliant
Lead information pertaining to a charity may include:
- conducting improper fundraising
- undertaking non-charitable activities
- providing false receipts
- providing private benefits to directors of the charity or third parties
- misappropriating funds
- lacking direction and control on activities
- operating an unrelated business
You can submit a lead anonymously, but if you choose to identify yourself, your identity is kept confidential. No feedback or updates are given once a lead is submitted. The Charities Directorate’s actions are only made public when they result in a charity being:
-revoked
-annulled
-suspended
-penalized
